Acoustic Research AR-ES1 Turntable
**Price includes shipping**
AR-ES1 turntable sitting in a walnut plinth with an accompanying Sumiko Premier MMT tonearm. I gave the walnut box a light sanding then a few coats of walnut stain to even out the tones of the wood and blammo, she's looking 100% again.
I also took apart the counter weight and re-lubed it with silicone grease. All of the old dried up grease prevented it from moving and actually froze it in place.
It runs at the correct speed but could use a new belt sooner or later. I didn't see any reason to add a new one since it plays perfectly fine at the moment.
Also, the MDF bottom board that closes it all up is missing but it doesn't affect play or anything.
I've never owned a Sumiko tonearm so I was pleasantly surprised by it's tone when I paired it with a Shure V15 Type IV cart. This TT does not come with a headshell or cart, but if interested I might have a few lying around that can be added to the TT for an additional cost.
